About Giraffe Centre

Located in the lang’ata area, outside Nairobi City and near the National park. Its Managed by African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (AFEW). The  centre was set up as a breeding centre for Rothschild Giraffe but open to the public for viewing and feeding from the raised platform all day. The giraffes wander freely and once the population exceeds some are relocated to other Parks around the country.

There is also a theater where talks on giraffes are held and can be educative. There is also a forest across the main  that leads to the river nearby. Offers a good opportunity for a nature in  the indigenous forest and a chance to sight so several birds.
