Day 1: Nairobi
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met by Heri Africa Safari representative who will escort you to the Nairobi hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, explore the city, relax or take an optional excursion. Dinner and breakfast at The Sarova Stanley Hotel/ similar
Day 2: Aberdare National Park
Early breakfast and drive through north the Kikuyu highlands to the Outspan Hotel in Nyeri in time for lunch. At 1400 hrs, transfer to your ‘tree hotel’ located in the heart of the Aberdares National Park .The Tree Hotel has game viewing hideouts and a floodlit water hole and salt lick which provide all night game viewing from the comfort of your lodge. Day 3: Lake Naivasha
Breakfast. At 0800 hrs drive south to Lake Naivasha, a fresh water lake found in the Great Rift Valley. This is a haven for bird watchers, over 600 species of birds have been located here. Take a walk along the lake to see the area’s hippo and waterbuck. Dinner and overnight at the Naivasha Country Club/ similar.
Day 4 & 5: Masai Mara National Reserve
Breakfast then drive to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya’s most popular game park and home to the big five-buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard and rhino. Vast herds of wildebeest and zebra wander the Mara grasslands; their numbers increase during the annual migration. Lunch, short siesta and at 1600 hrs have an afternoon game viewing drive. On day two, a full day in the Mara plains with morning and afternoon game drives allow maximum opportunity to view and photograph the abundant wildlife in this seemingly limitless game reserve. The optional dawn hot air balloon safari will give you a bird’s eye view of the Mara plains and the winding Mara and talek rivers before landing to a champagne breakfast. Day 6: Nairobi- Departure
After breakfast, depart the Mara for Nairobi. Enroute, visit a masai cultural village. The masai have preserved their culture for a relatively long time. Colourful and elaborate beadwork characterize their jewelry. The morans, huts, dresses and their way of life are an interesting bit. Continue with the drive to arrive Nairobi, at the Carnivore Restaurant for a sumptuous lunch. After lunch drop off to the Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your homebound flight.
