Day 1: Nairobi
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met by Heri Africa Safari representative who will escort you to the Sarova Stanley hotel/ similar. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, explore the city, relax or take an optional excursion. Dinner on your own. Bed and breakfast accommodation at The Stanley Hotel/ similar.
Day 2: Aberdare National Reserve
After breakfast drive north through Kikuyu highlands to arrive at the Aberdare Country Club in time for lunch. At 1400 hrs transfer to your ‘tree hotel’ built deep in the heart of the Aberdare National Park. The floodlit waterhole permits all night game viewing from the comfort of your lodge. Day 3: Mt Kenya National Park
After breakfast then depart the Aberdares fo Mt Kenya and check in to the world famous Mount Kenya safari club for lunch. The afternoon is free to enjoy the clubs outstanding facilities-heated swimming pool, tennis, 9-hole golf course, and horse riding. Throughout the 100 acres of grounds, there are ponds, mountain streams, waterfalls and colorful flower gardens. Facilities at the club are impeccable. Mount Kenya Safari Club/ similar
Day 4: Masai Mara National Reserve
Early breakfast in the lodge then depart Mt Kenya driving through the foot of the Rift Valley to arrive Maasai Mara, Mara Sopa Lodge in time for lunchtime. Lunch at the lodge. At 1600hrs you will embark on a game drive in this magnificent game reserve. Maasai Mara is an extension of the Serengeti ecosystem to the south. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge / similar
Day 5 & 6 : Masai Mara National Reserve
Another full day in Maasai Mara with two game drives, in the morning and at 1600 hrs. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge/ similar . The Masai Mara National Reserve is the most popular game reserve in Kenya. Located in the Rift Valley, it’s a jewel to watch. It has incredible wide open landscapes and fertile woodlands following the looping meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers. All big five; lion, buffalo, lion, leopard, rhino are easily spotted here. In addition to the spectacular wildebeest annual migration during July and August.
Day 7: Nairobi-Departure
After breakfast, depart the Mara for Nairobi. Enroute, visit a masai cultural village. The masai have preserved their culture for a relatively long time. Colourful and elaborate beadwork characterize their jewelry. The morans, huts, dresses and their way of life are an interesting bit. Continue with the drive to arrive Nairobi, at the Carnivore Restaurant for a sumptuous lunch. After lunch drop off to the Jomo Kenyatta Airport for your homebound flight.
